The Clemmons School Memorabilia Cabinet Committee will host an open house and all-year reunion from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, to present the completed Clemmons School memorabilia cabinets and displays at Historic Broyhill

Please come celebrate this accomplishment and enjoy the collection of Clemmons School memorabilia showcased in the new cabinets.

A short program will begin at 2 p.m., with featured speaker Gene Hoots. Although Hoots was a member of the first graduating class of Southwest High School, all alumni of Clemmons High call him their own. At RJR, Hoots shepherded the pension and savings plans for 21 years, then formed an investment company of his own that has taken him all around the globe. Hoots’ book, “Going Down Tobacco Road,” provides a fresh perspective on how tobacco became “king” in North Carolina.

Refreshments will be served following the program.

The committee continues to collect memorabilia. Contact 336-766-2346 or 336-408-4906 if you have an items to donate.
