WINSTON-SALEM — RiverRun International Film Festival has announced another contest opportunity for budding filmmakers, the third Lincoln Smartphone Short Film Contest, sponsored by longtime festival supporter Parkway Lincoln.

Those wishing to enter the contest should create — entirely on a smartphone — a 1-to-5 minute short film that must somehow be centered around a Lincoln vehicle. Participants may interpret this however they choose and will be judged on creativity and originality. Submissions are due via YouTube or Vimeo by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, to tiffany@riverrunfilm.com.

Full contest rules are available on the RiverRun website at riverrunfilm.com/third-lincoln-smartphone-short-film-contest-sponsored-by-parkway-lincoln/.

“We are thrilled to present a third installment of the Lincoln Smartphone Short Film Contest and, as always, we thank Parkway Lincoln for their steadfast support of the Festival,” said Rob Davis, RiverRun’s executive director.  “These short film contests are quite fun and such an easy way for filmmakers to get creative with a camera that they carry around with them all the time. We love seeing what they come up with!”

All submitted short films will be judged by a panel of jurors who will select the top three finishers. These filmmakers will receive cash prizes: first place, $150; second place, $100; third place, $75.  The films will be screened for free to the community in RiverRun’s Virtual Theater from Nov. 25-Dec. 9.
