Ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrates sunrise yoga studio’s new location

Valerie Kiser, a certified yoga instructor, yoga therapist and owner of Sunrise Yoga Studio, celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 27. Sunrise Yoga Studio was founded in 2003 and was previously located at 6000 Meadowbrook Mall Court in Clemmons. The new location, 6311-A Stadium Drive in Clemmons, offers a new facility, two classrooms and a boutique.

Kiser teaches Iyengar-style yoga that incorporates prop usage making yoga poses more accessible for everyone. It is a form of hatha yoga focused on correct alignment as well as connection between mind and body. Kiser offers public and private sessions for various purposes including general wellness, stress, chronic pain relief and others. She has extensive training and experience in yoga therapy to help with a broad variety of conditions and illnesses. Kiser, certified with Yoga Alliance, also offers 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training programs.

Sunrise Yoga Studio offers daily classes as well as workshops. A new student special featuring unlimited classes for 30 days for $39 is available for students that are new to the studio. Classes offered include all levels, level 1, level 2, restorative, yoga wall, MELT Method, Chair yoga and back care. Upcoming workshops include Intro to Yoga — Yoga for Beginners and Yoga for Healthy Aging.
