Fall break is approaching quickly with only one more week until students and staff get to relax and eat lots of yummy food. Let’s see what the Titans are up to until then. 

Principal Kevin Spainhour has introduced the new Extended Learning Program (ELP), this is a program that offers face-to-face tutoring for any subject. With ELP there is potential first-quarter grade recovery for certain subject areas as well. In order to take advantage of this, the student participation form must be submitted with a parent signature. For more information, go to the West Forsyth website. 

There are many Titans worth mentioning this week with scholarships and student of the month. Michael Angell and Janie Peterson will represent West in the competition for a full tuition and fees scholarship to the University of Virginia. Another two Titans, Gavin Daniel, and Sarah Yates Smith are competing for a full tuition and fees scholarship to Davidson College. Good luck to all of them! A big congratulations to Emma Cate Burhans and Allision Furbee. Burhans has been chosen as student of the month and Furbee was nominated for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Scholarship competition. Way to make the Titans proud!

Senior day is closer than you think. Seniors will gather in the Cafeteria Annex at 8:20 a.m. to join in on all the day’s festivities. Somethings that will be happening during this time will be cap and gown photos, senior fees due, the senior class photo and a fall festival. For more information, go to the 2022 senior Canvas page. 

The Titans enjoyed a three-day week and are ready to carry on with their last week until fall break. As always go Titans!
