Youth programs

• Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom — Featuring books and singalongs for all ages. Registration is required, visit the library website to sign up.

• Tween and Teen Advisory Board: Join in on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 4:30 p.m. to suggest topics and themes for future tween/teen programs, provide feedback on juvenile and young adult materials including fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels. Earn volunteer time helping out with library events and programs.

• I Wonder Wednesday: On Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 4:30 p.m. the library will celebrate National Cookie Day. Join in to observe the holiday in the only appropriate way — with lots of cookies.

• Teen Talk Thursdays: Every other Thursday at 4:30 p.m. — Part art club, part hangout — all teens, all the time. The next meeting will be in the library’s teen space on Dec. 9.

• Virtual Chess Club: Chess Club has gone virtual. Using Zoom meeting rooms and lichess.org, join in once a month for a virtual chess strategy session and tournament play. Open to ages 7-18. The next meeting will be Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.  Visit the library website for registration information.

• Virtual Preschool Crafts: Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. on Zoom. On Wednesday, Dec. 15, the group will create a melted snowman collage.  Supplies will be listed on the website ahead of time and a limited quantity of supply kits will be available for pickup the week before the program.
