The WS/FCS Board of Education has elected Deanna Kaplan as board of education chair and re-elected Lida Calvert-Hayes as vice-chair at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night. Both will serve in these roles through 2022.

Kaplan was elected as an at-large representative to the board in 2018. Calvert-Hayes was appointed by the school board to fill a vacant seat in 2015. She was re-elected to represent District 2 in 2018. Per WS/FCS board bylaws, the four-year term for all members of the board of education expires in 2022. All members can run for re-election, should they choose.
