The Titans are almost through their last full week of school until the long-awaited winter break.

Holiday spirit is not something the Titans lack, West Forsyth’s band and dance team participated in the 2021 Lewisville Christmas parade last Sunday. They brought the beat and the boogie, great performance from both.

This week Student Government Association handed out Candy Grams bought by students last week. A Candy Gram is a candy cane with a handwritten note that is bought by a student for another. These profits go directly back to Titan families in crisis, whether it be because of a sickness in the family or a guardian losing a job.

West Forsyth Band and West Forsyth Athletics boosters are asking for support by visiting the Dewey’s Holiday Store. Support is wanted now to Dec. 24, hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday- Saturday, located next to Pete’s Restaurant on Lewisville-Clemmons Road.

For a recap of West’s Senior Day, watch Principal Kevin Spainhour’s video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcNQFGaDZqU. The seniors no doubt had a blast and are excited but saddened to be one step closer to graduation. Thank you to all staff and parents who helped the day run as smoothly as possible.

The 2021 fall exam schedule has been posted, to get prepared a possible go to https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/cms/lib/NC01001395/Centricity/ModuleInstance/12725/Fall%202021%20Exam%20Schedule.pdf to see it all laid out. The exemption policy for teacher-made exams has been altered this year, attendance will not be a factor in whether or not the student will be exempt.

West welcomes the Titans to join the West Forsyth Fire Academy. This is a series of courses a student will take that prepares students for a career in Firefighting or Emergency Services. There are four courses and students can complete up to two in one school year. This is a collaboration between the Clemmons, Lewisville and Vienna fire departments and West Forsyth High School to help build teamwork, community service and leadership. To enroll, visit with the student’s designated counselor or CDC to register for required courses.

Go, Titans!
