Hope named director of human resources at Salem Academy and College

WINSTON-SALEM — Salem Academy and College has named Orielle Hope director of human resources. Prior to joining Salem, she served as vice president for human resources at the Housing Authority of the City of High Point.
Hope earned a master of science degree in human resources business and industry from North Carolina A&T State University and a bachelor of arts degree from Winston-Salem State University. She is the past president and diversity director for the Winston-Salem Society for Human Resource Management, and she lives in Clemmons.
“Our search for a new director of human resources was extensive and national, but in the end, we found the perfect person locally,” Salem Academy and College President Dr. Summer McGee said. “Orielle is a senior human resources leader with proven experience in strategic initiatives and has more than 14 years of experience as a director of human resources. I look forward to working alongside Orielle as she brings her extensive knowledge and track record of success to Salem’s campus.”
Salem Academy and College is the oldest continuously operating educational institution for girls and women in the country by its founding date of 1772. The institution is currently celebrating its 250th anniversary and is engaging in transformational change to innovate in women’s education.
