The bells are ringing, not only for the holidays, but as a sign that school is out for winter break. The Titans finally get to relax and spend unlimited time with family for the next 10 days. Lets see what some Titans are doing this holiday season.

“For the holidays, I’m hanging out with my boyfriend, family and eating some good food,” junior Rachel Hull said.

For seniors, this was their last walk of the West halls before winter break, making it extra special.

“My family and best friend are traveling to Nashville to watch the ball drop. We are staying there for a few days to do some shopping and some other activities as well,” senior Emily Pruitt said.

The winter dance concert was a success, and it was a packed house both Thursday and Friday. The whole dance department did a fantastic job putting on a great show.

To remind us of the importance of knowing the warning signs of gun violence, last Friday the Titans participated interactively with a representative from the Sandy Hook Promise Organization. This non-profit organization is made up of several family members whose loved ones were victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Their mission is to empower youth to understand the “signs,” and to bring awareness to the importance of prevention of gun violence. For more information go to www.sandyhookpromise.org .

Titan friends and families, we wish you a happy holiday season and we will see you next year.
