Library closings

New Year’s: All Forsyth County Public Library locations will be closed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. The library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3.

Youth programs

• Tween and Teen Advisory Board: Join in on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 4:30 p.m. to suggest topics and themes for future tween/teen programs, provide feedback on juvenile and young adult materials including fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels. Earn volunteer time helping out with library events and programs.

• Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom — Featuring books and singalongs for all ages. Registration is required, visit the library website to sign up. The next virtual story time will be on Thursday, Jan. 6.

• Virtual Preschool Crafts: Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. on Zoom — Supplies will be listed on the website ahead of time and a limited quantity of supply kits will be available for pickup the week before the program. Visit the library website or call 336-703-2920 for sign-up information. The next preschool craft session will be on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

• I Wonder Wednesday: Join in on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 4:30 p.m. on Zoom for the latest edition of the new children’s program series featuring a variety of topics.
