CLEMMONS — Just one day prior to the legendary Betty White’s passing, the Village of Clemmons announced the Betty White Loves Clemmons Lego Contest. In memory of her endless optimism and finding the positive, the contest will continue.

Legos are a well-known timeless building block toy advertised for ages 4-99. Betty White would have turned 100 this month and only had a few weeks left to build before she “aged out.” In her honor and as a tribute to her legacy, you are invited to participate by submitting an original creation representative of Clemmons — favorite landmark, activity, etc.

Entries will be accepted at Village Hall from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 12. Judging will take place on the evening of Feb. 15 by the Clemmons Planning Board. Entries will be open for public viewing on a future date with donations being collected for the Forsyth County Humane Society.

All rules and information regarding the contest can be found at Clemmons.org/lego.

For more information, call the village office at 336-712-4042.
