Over $3.6 million of narcotics seized in arrest

FORSYTH COUNTY — The Forsyth County Drug Task Force has charged a man with trafficking cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy).

Jonathan Duwyane Schultz, a 36, of Winston-Salem was arrested and charged with numerous offenses, including two felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine; felony trafficking cocaine; felony trafficking heroin; felony trafficking MDMA; felony manufacturing cocaine; six counts of felony maintaining a dwelling for use, keeping, or selling of a controlled substance; five counts of felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and two counts of felony possession of a stolen firearm.

A detective with the FCDTF received a tip from the community regarding suspected drug activity at 147 Nicholson Road, Winston-Salem. Detectives conducted an investigation, leading to a search warrant at the residence on Thursday, Dec. 23.

Also seized during this operation were 153.4 grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,340 50 grams of fentanyl with a street value of approximately $12,500, 3,600 grams of marijuana with a street value of approximately $43,680, 28.7 grams of MDMA with a street value of approximately $4,305, and 14,340 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $3,585,000.

Schultz appeared before the magistrate and is currently in the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18.
