The Seniors Wonderful World of Golf Tour (SWWG) recently presented checks to three area non-profits to cap its “Give Back” campaign. The Storehouse for Jesus, the Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem, and Brenner Children’s Hospital were the beneficiaries.

The Storehouse for Jesus received $2,500, The Shepherd’s Center received $1,500, and Brenner Children’s Hospital received $1,000.

The SWWG hosted 17 events last season from March through November and collected donations from players and also used a portion of the tournament entry fees to earmark for charities.

SWWG is a non-profit organization based on Clemmons that was founded to provide fun while playing friendly, competitive golf while developing acquaintances into lasting friendships.

SWWG will begin its 13th season in 2022 and has a membership base of 170 golfers ages 55 and older.

The organization is actively involved in giving back to the surrounding communities through charitable contributions on an annual basis.
