The calendar has turned to March and the second semester is flying by for the Titans. This week is an untraditional one with the ACT given Wednesday and no school on Friday.

Here is the scoop on the Titans this week.

The WSFCS school board voted to make all schools mask optional. The CDC also updated federal guidance saying masks are no longer required on public school transportation.

Something important to note is students and staff are still able to wear masks when they feel it is personally needed. Staff and students are required to wear a mask if they tested positive for COVID-19 for five days after their exclusion.

West Forsyth’s SGA President Madison Spangler represented the Clemmons Rotary at the District Four-Way Speech Contest last weekend.

“It gave me the chance to grow in my public speaking abilities and get a chance to advocate for something I felt strongly for,” said Spangler, a senior.

The list of the seniors designated as 2022 “Honors Graduates” has been released. This is based on being ranked in the top 10% of the class using their mid-year rank. Congratulations to all of the select seniors.

Mack David was named the 2022 Human Relations recipient. He is representing all the Titans as someone with a good spirit, leadership skills and strong work ethic. David was acknowledged by the City of Winston-Salem last week. Congratulations are in order for David for all of his hard work.

March 24 is the end of the third quarter for the Titans. This date is approaching fast and the Titans are working harder than ever to keep their grades up.
