Forsyth Country Day School has received a $250,000 grant from Truist Financial Corporation through its Truist Charitable Fund, a donor-advised fund at The Winston-Salem Foundation. The grant will go toward the creation of The Center for Intentional Living at the school.

“Forsyth Country Day School is so grateful for Truist’s support,” said Head of School Gardner Barrier.

“This $250,000 grant helps to pave the way for what’s ahead as we continue to raise funds, design, and build The Center for Intentional Living.”

The Center for Intentional Living will be a bright, modern facility at the reimagined center of campus that would inspire skill development for the emerging global economy, wellness and belonging initiatives, innovative instruction, and leadership opportunity in learning about one’s self and connecting with others.

“Investments in innovative education engage our youth and help prepare them to be future leaders,” said Cantey Alexander, Triad regional president for Truist. “Our support for The Center for Intentional Living will help introduce students to new subjects and opportunities and is another way we fulfill our purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities.”
