The Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons cohort will meet on June 7 at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center in Lewisville for “Social/Human Services Day.” As part of that day, Crisis Control Ministry (CCM) is going to conduct its “poverty simulation” event from 9-11 a.m. and needs 40 volunteers to participate. This free event is for ages 18 and up.

Every day in our city, there are families trying to decide which bills to pay when there is not enough money to cover them all. Crisis Control Ministry is on a mission to help us all understand more about our neighbors who make gut-wrenching choices between a warm home and a warm meal and how to navigate the myriad of government and social services that provide help.
