Car, truck and motorcycle show will be held June 25; Purple Heart dinner will be held Aug. 20

The Northwest Piedmont Purple Heart Foundation will host a car/truck/motorcycle show on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at VFW Post 5352 in Kernersville.

The speaker will be Harold Frank, a World War II Purple Heart recipient who was a prisoner of war and served in Normandy.

The VFW Honor Guard from Clemmons Post 9010 will also be there, as will Kernersville Mayor Dawn Morgan. DJ Danny Crouse will provide the music and the Living History Group, one of the Carolinas’ premier World War II re-enacting organizations, will also be there.

There is no charge for the general public to attend but donations are welcome.

The foundation is asking for a $25 donation for each vehicle that is entered in the show.
Spectators can vote on their favorite vehicle in each category with a $1 bucket vote.

There will be door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and plenty of food and drinks to go along with a baked goods auction.
All proceeds will benefit the Northwest Piedmont Purple Heart Foundation.

The foundation will also hold a dinner on Aug. 20 that is open to all Purple Heart recipients, their families, and Gold Star families.

The dinner will take place at RCR Racing Campus in Welcome.
