Clemmons Food Pantry has received $2,500 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help feed neighbors in their time of need.

Clemmons Food Pantry will use the gift to provide healthy foods, including fresh produce and meat, to those seeking supplemental food assistance this summer.
“We are continuing to see a great deal of need in the community, so we are very grateful for this support from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation and our local Food Lion stores,” said Mike Sullivan, executive director of Clemmons Food Pantry.

Clemmons Food Pantry has provided supplemental groceries monthly to families in Forsyth County for 17 years.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Clemmons Food Pantry has directly provided over 1 million pounds of fresh and shelved food to more than 10,000 Forsyth individuals.
After shifting to curbside service during the past two years, the Clemmons Food Pantry has recently opened its doors for its clients to select their foods as they would in any grocery store.

Established in 2001, the foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding local neighbors in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $15 million in grants.
