Kiwanis of Clemmons Club members receive special recognition

At the July meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Clemmons, member Ed Brewer received a certificate of recognition for 30 years of dedicated service to the club.
Brewer is a resident of Clemmons and has served his community in numerous ways.
He has been the legal counsel for Clemmons, served on the town council and served as mayor.
During this time, he has maintained a faithful membership in the Kiwanis Club, where he has served as president, past president and board member.
Member Chris Billups, current club secretary, was also honored. He has held the position of secretary for the past few years.
In his many years as a Clemmons Kiwanis member, Billups served terms as the president, past president, Carolina District lieutenant governorĀ and board member.

Current club president Michael Watson submitted Billups for nomination for the Herb Henning Award.
This award of distinction is given to only one Kiwanis Club Secretary each year.
Congratulations to Chris Billups and Ed Brewer for these well-deserved recognitions for years of dedicated service to Clemmons and the surrounding area.
