Chad Anderson Cornatzer

Chad Anderson Cornatzer, 47, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born in Forsyth County on April 19, 1975, to Woody and Mary Willard Cornatzer who survive. Also surviving is a son, Anderson Kayde Cornatzer; sister, Jodi Weatherman (Jody); niece, Maggie Rogers (Caleb); nephew, Tate Weatherman (Savanna); great-nieces, Remi and Laina Rogers; also surviving is his significant other, Kayla Stout. Chad was very creative. He could fix and work on about anything. He loved to play golf, enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid N.C. State fan. Spending time with Kayde playing whiffle ball was probably his favorite pastime. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Bill Mackenzie officiating. The family received friends following the service. Jonathan Michael McKnight

Jonathan Michael McKnight, 30, went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Friday, July 29, 2022, at his home. He was born in Forsyth County on Jan. 3, 1992, to Mike and Laura Mock McKnight who survive along with his brother, Jack McKnight; also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Ruth Pope Mock; aunt, Michelle Myers (Roger) and uncle, Danny McKnight (Jennifer). Preceding him in death were maternal grandfather, Floyd Mock and his paternal grandparents, Donald Ray and Katherine Hege McKnight.

Jonathan graduated from Reagan High School where he was part of the inaugural varsity basketball program for four years. Jonathan went on to graduate from UNC Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science. He was a devoted son and was thankful for his family and their love and support. The family enjoyed spending time together at Cherry Grove, S.C., and in High Meadows. Together they spent time biking, skiing and hunting. Jonathan was a very loyal and compassionate friend. He succeeded in the family business and excelled in customer service. Jonathan’s family rests in the knowledge that their suffering is not in vain. Jonathan’s hope was in His Lord and Savior and his eternal home with Him.

A celebration of life was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. A private family graveside followed the service. Nancy Irene White Redd

Mrs. Nancy Irene White Redd, 71, of Mocksville passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at her residence. Nancy was born in Forsyth County to Ernest White and Maude Brown White on Dec. 11, 1950. She loved photography of all kinds, from taking pictures of beaches, lighthouses, landscapes, flowers to hummingbirds and wildlife. She loved going to the beach and climbing lighthouses, also going to The Biltmore House for more pictures. She loved family get togethers, especially at Christmas. Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Ernest White. Surviving is her husband, Daniel Redd; sons, Jason Redd, Jeremy Redd (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kelsey and Kaitlyn Redd, Nathan and Noah Redd; great-grandchildren, Aria and Mattilyn; mother, Maude White; brother, Harold White (Angela). A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Dorcas ‘Dottie’ Gobble Wilkes

Ms. Dorcas “Dottie” Gobble Wilkes, 73, of Clemmons passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at her residence. Dottie was born on Jan. 28, 1949, in Davie County to the late Ottis Lee Gobble and Audrey White Gobble. She was a longtime member of Ijames Baptist Church in Mocksville and a regular attendee at Center United Methodist Church in Welcome for over 19 years. She retired from Lucent Technologies with over 34 years of service.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Wilkes, and her sister, Patricia “Patsy” Patti. She is survived by a son, Ryan Edwards, and daughter in law Stephanie; grandchildren, Tatum, Coree, Karson, Julia and Levi Edwards, who she loved dearly; her sister, Wanda McBride (Johnny); brothers, Donnie Gobble, Odell Gobble (Marsha), Tommy Gobble (Barbara), and Vic Patti (Bunni), all of Mocksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at Center United Methodist Church in Welcome. The family received friends one hour prior.
