There were plenty of fun activities to choose from last Saturday in Clemmons, headlined by three events at the same time at the Jerry Long Family YMCA.
The fourth annual Dirty Dozen 5K Obstacle Mud Run had more than 300 participants this year and for the first time, included a 1-mile fun run. Runners had to navigate a 3.1-mile course saturated with numerous obstacles that included — you guessed it — a couple of mud pits!
There were plenty of smiles and laughs for families, friends and co-workers who traversed the course in rolling waves every 10 minutes beginning at 8 a.m.
There was also a party going in the YMCA parking lot with food trucks and inflatables, not to mention the Clemmons Farmers Market.
And a few miles down Lewisville-Clemmons Road, the Clemmons Civic Club hosted its pancake breakfast to help raise money for scholarships for area high school students.
