Adult programs
• Creating Family Recipe Books: Take a new approach to documenting family history by learning how to create a family recipe book at the Clemmons Branch Library on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. To register, visit or call the library at 336-703-2920.
• Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. — Join in at the library auditorium for a group book discussion each month. On Oct. 3, the club will discuss “The Personal Librarian,” by Marie Benedict.
• Banana Splits with Chef Floyd: On Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. Chef Floyd Davis will offer a dessert demonstration in the library auditorium by preparing and sharing the history of the banana split.
• Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. — Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and a copy will be made for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. On Oct. 19, the club will celebrate the library’s On the Same Page program by preparing American Gilded Age cuisine.
