Clemmons Mayor Mike Rogers met with Mitchell Whitley on Sunday and showed him around Clemmons as part of Whitley’s quest to meet every mayor (551) in every municipality in North Carolina through his initiative, Mitchell’s Mayors.
Mitchell’s Mayors is a statewide tour of North Carolina to learn the issues facing every single citizen first-hand in the state, discover its rich history from those who know it best: the locals, and to have some fun adventures along the way.
Rogers planned to show Whitley around town hall and the Hattie Butner Stagecoach, community garden and quilt, the Peter Clemmons House, Hanes House, Tanglewood, Mill House, Public Works Building and Fire Department confined space training before finishing up by visiting Harvest Fest at the Jerry Long Family YMCA.
Rogers is the 173rd mayor that Whitley has had a chance to meet so far on his journey.
