On the Same Page Community Read
“The Personal Librarian” by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray
• Thursday, Sept. 22 through Saturday, Nov. 19
On the Same Page is Forsyth County Public Library’s annual community read. Each year, a selected title will be read by customers and staff all over the county. The library will host programs and discussions around the title for all ages across the 10 library locations and throughout Forsyth County with the help of partners and friends in the community.
Children’s programs
Family Storytime
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
• Storytime Room
Join in for stories, fingerplays, songs and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 18 months-5 years old and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Family Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Crafts-to-Go: Halloween Magnets
• Oct. 24-28 (while supplies last)
Take home and create an adorable Halloween magnet of your home. Available while supplies last. For all ages. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Branch.
Spooky Photo Booth
• Oct. 3 – 31
Drop by the Lewisville Branch Library to take a photo at the Spooky Photo Booth. Props are provided. Costumes are welcome.
Lego Fall Carnival Contest
• Oct.17-29: Entries due
• Nov. 1- 26: Voting
• Nov. 30: Winner announced
It’s harvest season! Build a replica of your favorite fall festival, carnival or Halloween event, and drop it off at the Lewisville Branch between Oct. 17-29. The creations will be on display in the children’s area during the month of November to allow customers to view them and vote for their favorite model. All ages can participate. There will be a first, second and third-place winner. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and will receive a small prize. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.
Adult programs
Yoga for Beginners (in-person and virtual)
• Thursday, Oct. 20, at noon
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body. The class is facilitated by local yoga instructor Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.
Color & Coffee

A morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets will be available.

The Friends of the Lewisville Library invite all adults to participate in interesting discussions of timely titles. You do not need to be a member of the Friends to participate. This month’s title: “The Whole Town is Talking” by Fannie Flagg. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.
