Last Friday was a great morning at West Forsyth High School for the Fall Health and Safety Jamboree presented by Unified Champions and the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.
A day of fun activities for Unified Buddies with participation from West Forsyth students and staff pairing with students throughout the county in adapted PE programs at different middle and high schools. Buses from other schools were greeted with quite a welcome with encouraging signs, a rousing drumline from the Titans’ band and a performance from the West Forsyth cheerleaders.
There were even a couple of big trucks from the Village of Clemmons that the students could touch as well as cars from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Winston-Salem Police Department.
Despite the chilly and windy conditions early, there were plenty of smiles that helped bring the sunshine.
