On the Same Page is Forsyth County Public Library’s annual community read. Each year, the library has selected a title to be read by customers and staff all over the county. The library hosts programs and discussions around the title for all ages across the 10 library locations and throughout Forsyth County with the help of partners and friends in the community.

Family Films on Friday

Dino Seek & Find
• Nov. 1-12
• Children’s Room
RAWR! Celebrate dinosaurs this November with Dinovember Seek and Find! Stop by the children’s room between Nov. 1-12 to see if you can find all the hidden dinosaurs in the library then stop by the front desk for a Jurassic prize. It’s going to be dino-mite!
Family Storytime
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Join in for stories, fingerplays, songs and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 18 months-5 years old and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Family Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Eastern Woodland Native American Shell Gorgets
• Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 3:30 p.m.
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Children will learn the importance of shell gorgets to the Eastern Woodland Native Americans. Shell gorgets are a type of art form of polished carved shell pendants worn around the neck. They are believed to have been insignia of status or rank (either civic, military or religious) or amulets of protective medicine. Craft included. Recommended for grades K-8. Native Americans from the North Carolina area are considered Eastern Woodland. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.

Yoga for Beginners (in-person and virtual)

• Lewisville Branch Auditorium (Nov. 17)
Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. Give Thanks, Give Blood

Give Hope, Give Life, Give Blood. Help someone in your community this holiday by donating blood. The American Red Cross will be on-site with their bloodmobile in the Lewisville Branch Library’s parking lot. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome. Lewisville Historical Society Presents …

In partnership with the Lewisville Branch, the Lewisville Historical Society will present bimonthly to the community on topics ranging from local history to information about historical sites to antiquities. Participants do not need to be members of the society to attend. Free and open to the public. Witchy Washi and What Not Crafts

Color & Coffee

A morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets related to water and water life will be available in honor of Forsyth Creek Week. Call the branch at 336-703-2940 for more information.
Acrylic Pouring Art Class
• Friday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m.
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Paint at the Lewisville Branch using the technique of acrylic pouring. Local artist and instructor Amy Guerrini returns to demonstrate this unique technique and help participants create their own work of art. Paint supplies will be provided.
