The Chris Paul Family Foundation held its 12th annual Turkey Drive last Saturday at Truist Stadium, home of the Winston-Salem Dash, giving away 400 boxes of Thanksgiving goodness to families in the area.
Paul, who is a part-owner of the Dash, starred at West Forsyth and Wake Forest and currently plays for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA.
Members of the West Forsyth boys basketball program were also on hand to assist with packing food and loading boxes into the cars of the recipients.
More than 150 volunteers participated in the event, the largest the Chris Paul Family Foundation has done.
“We are so happy to be able to continue giving back to the Winston-Salem community every year,” said Robin Paul, Chris’ mom. “This is home, and we want to continue to help our home in any way that we can.”
Past Turkey Drives have been held at Agape Faith Church in Clemmons and the Dream Center of Forsyth County.
