On Thursday, Jan. 19, the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce will host Lisa Allen, a renowned speaker and life coach, who will be coming to Historic Broyhill to provide an interactive workshop on clarifying your purpose. No matter your place in your work or life, everyone needs direction, and everyone can benefit from help to focus their “Why?” By the end of this workshop, you will have written a succinct statement of purpose that will serve as an arrow to aim your life as you work to leave your mark on your world. Why is it important to be succinct? When a statement of purpose is not succinct, it can be easy to get lost in the mission or goal of finding your “why.” Allen strives to help others be encouraged, inspired, empowered, and equipped to be the best versions of themselves and to find that succinctness in their mission.

Allen references the need to have your direction focused on something specific in order to have an aimed life. When your life is focused on something specific, it can be guided and aimed toward your professional and personal goals. After all, without a sense of direction, how can one have success? Without set goals to attempt to achieve, how can one measure progress? Through this interactive workshop, Allen can help you figure out what your goals and sense of direction might be! Come prepared to collaborate with Lisa and one another to better shape your outlook on your mission.

Allen is a speaker and life coach, and the former executive director of ministry and staff development at Proverbs 31 Ministries. With over 25 years of leadership and coaching experience, she equips others to identify their God-given wiring and empowers them to live confidently in their sphere of influence, whether in their role at home or on the job. Allen lives in Charlotte with her husband, and has two grown children and a Yorkie named PJ.

While this workshop is a Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce program, it is open to anyone interested who wants assistance with developing a sense of direction. The workshop will be held at the Historic Broyhill located at 3540 Clemmons Road in Clemmons. The cost is $10 for Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber members and $15 for non-chamber members. The fee includes lunch provided by Ketchie Creek Bakery, and the workshop is generously sponsored by Marzano Capital Group. Check in begins at 11:20 a.m. and the Lunch & Learn will run from noon-1 p.m. Register on the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce calendar (members.lewisville-clemmons.com/events/calendar/).
