Fleet Feet in Clemmons was the place to be last Saturday morning.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony of the store’s grand opening, which is located at 6339 Jessie Lane in the same shopping area as Ketchie Creek Bakery and Planet Fitness, among others, took place following a fun run and other distance runs to get the assembled guests a little warmed up.
And if that didn’t do the trick, maybe the mimosas did.
This is the second Fleet Feet store in the area for Emily and Keith Davis, who also have a store on Statford Road in Winston-Salem.
Emily took plenty of time to thank all in attendance for coming and worked the crowd, stopping periodically to introduce herself to any unfamiliar faces and take a few selfies.
Clemmons Mayor Mike Rogers was on hand and make a few remarks, as were council members Mary Cameron and Bradley Taylor, to take in the festivities.
The store officially opened in mid-December but Emily said they delayed the ribbon cutting celebration because of the hustle and the bustle of the holidays.
