All ages programs

Give-a-Kid-a-Coat Drive
• Through Feb. 7
You may drop off a coat from Jan. 3 through Feb. 7 at the Lewisville Branch Library and it will be taken to A Cleaner World. A Cleaner World will make minor repairs, clean the coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution to those in need.

Family Films on Friday
• Friday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m.
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Join in for the monthly family film. Call the library at 336-703-2940 for the movie title. Snacks are welcome.

Child programs

Family Storytime
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Join in for stories, fingerplays, songs, and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 18 months-5 years old and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Family Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Winter Photo Booth
• Through Jan. 31
During the month of January, stop by the Lewisville Branch and get silly with the winter photo booth. Wintery props will be available to make your photos unique.

Adult programs

Color & Coffee
• Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m.
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
A morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets, colored pencils and coffee will be available for participants. Call the branch at 336-703-2940 for more information.

Hook & Loop Group (in-person and virtual) 

• Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m.  
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium 

The Hook & Loop Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. 

Come and join yarn crafters who like to knit, crochet, embroider and such. Bring your own project to work on or use some simple supplies and patterns we will have on hand. All skill levels are welcome. The group shares each other’s company and maybe a tip or two about a project. No formal instruction. Yoga for Beginners (in-person and virtual) 

• Thursday, Feb. 2 and 16, at noon 

• Lewisville Branch Auditorium 

Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor, Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Call 336-703-2940 for more information. 

Belly Dancing for Beginners 

• Friday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. 

• Lewisville Branch Auditorium 

Get your shimmy on! Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as people of all ages come together to promote health, happiness and community. Suitable for all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. Wear comfy clothes and shoes. This is a free monthly class. Contact the library at 336-703-2940 for more information. Recommended for ages 18 and up but all ages are welcome. 

Gardening Series: Secrets of Succulents

Succulents are popping up in stores everywhere and promise a delightful experience as a container plant. What’s their appeal? Join this class to learn from Betty Ann Faulkner, a long-time gardener and the owner of SereneScapes Gardens, who will teach about the secrets of successful growth, what blooms and many other interesting facts.
