All ages programs

Give-a-Kid-a-Coat Drive
• Through Feb. 10
You may drop off a coat from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10 at the Lewisville Branch Library and it will be taken to A Cleaner World. A Cleaner World will make minor repairs, clean the coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution to those in need.

Family Films on Friday
• Friday, Feb. 24, at 4 p.m.
• Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Join in for the monthly family film. Call the library at 336-703-2940 for the movie title. Snacks are welcome.

Child programs

Family Storytime
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Join in for stories, fingerplays, songs and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 18 months – 5 years old and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Family Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Teen programs

Lewisville-Clemmons Teen Advisory Board Meeting
• Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 5 p.m.
• Clemmons Branch
The Lewisville-Clemmons Branch Teen Advisory Board is made up of teen volunteers from the Lewisville and Clemmons area. The board meets once a month, alternating between the Lewisville and Clemmons branches and the board meets on the second Tuesday (during the school year) each month to discuss ways to improve both branches. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays and suggests resources that the library should purchase. Introduction to Candle-Making

Do you love the smell of a freshly-burning candle? Have you ever wanted to learn to make your own candles? If so, join in on Monday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m. as instructor Madison Howell teaches participants how to make their own beautiful soy candles. Space is extremely limited, so registration is required. Blind Date with a Book

Finally, a blind date that isn’t awkward or stressful! Through the month of February, check out one of our “Blind Date” books. The books are wrapped up and have descriptions on them, but that’s all you get to know. Be surprised by your next great read!

Yoga for Beginners (in-person and virtual)
• Thursday, Feb. 2 and 16, at noon

Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. Belly Dancing for Beginners

Get your shimmy on! Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as people of all ages come together to promote health, happiness and community. Red Cross blood donation

Share the love by donating blood! February is the month of love. What better way to show love for our neighbors than by giving them the gift of life. The American Red Cross will be on-site at the Lewisville Branch Library on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

A First Look at Stephen Towns: Declaration and Resistance
(Reynolda House Museum of American Art presentation)

Library supporters can get a first look at the works by Stephen Towns two weeks before the exhibition opens at Reynolda House Museum of American Art! Curator Allison Slaby will share a selection of works from the upcoming exhibition, which includes figurative paintings and story quilts that expand the historical narratives of enslaved and free African Americans. Towns’ work is based on actual individuals who toiled under the most extreme hardships yet persevered through acts of rebellion, skillful guile and self-willed determination; through “declaration and resistance.” Attendees are encouraged to check out a Reynolda museum library pass later in the month to see the art in person. This program is in recognition of the Forsyth County Public Library’s celebration of Black History Month and this year’s theme, “Black Resistance.” Registration is encouraged. Gardening Series: Gardening for Newbies

Witchy Washi & What Not Crafts
