Several students from schools in Clemmons and Lewisville were recently recognized as All-District Band members.
Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will be represented by 144 young musicians in the Northwest District’s All-District Band this year.
The All-District Band consists of two middle school bands and three high school bands. Over 1,000 students from 17 different counties audition with scales, solos and sight reading to earn a spot in one of the five bands. The selected students will perform at the All-District Clinic, which will be held at Lenoir-Rhyne University from Feb. 17-19. Earning All-District distinction is one of the highest honors for a band student in the state, and WS/FCS will be well-represented this year by over 100 of its most talented young performers.
