Southwest Elementary student Tucker Wood wins WS/FCS spelling bee

Tucker Wood, a fourth grade student from Southwest Elementary School, won the WS/FCS Spelling Bee last week.
Wood was one of 57 participants in the competition.
Hans Jacob P. De Guzman, a seventh grader at Virtual Academy, was second and Elin Phillips, an eighth grader at the Downtown School won third place.
The winning word was osteopath, which is a licensed physician who practices medicine using both conventional treatments and osteopathic manipulative medicine, which focuses on relieving pain and tension in the musculoskeletal system.
