Spring sports are in full swing across North Carolina, so that means it’s time for the release of the Central Piedmont 4-A all-conference awards for the winter season.
Two boys swimmers at West Forsyth were named to the most all-conference events — Jonah Greene in four events and Ethan Frondoza in three.
Greene was named all-conference in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly in individual events for the Titans and two relays, the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay.
Frondoza was named all-conference in the 100 back, as well as the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay with Greene.
Also in the 200 medley relay from West Forsyth were Carter Patterson and Aidan Oghalai.
In the 400 free relay from West Forsyth, it was Oghalai and Kyle Creep. Creep was also named all-conference in the 500 free.
In girls swimming, Katherine Perdue led all swimmers for the Titans with two individual events — the 200 IM and the 100 back. Audrey Frondoza, Ethan’s older sister, was named all-conference in the 100 butterfly. Katie Kennedy was named all-conference in the 500 free.
In girls 1-meter diving, Emory Rhodes was named all-conference.
The West Forsyth boys basketball team made huge strides this past season with new Coach Marlon Brim, improving from 8-17 last season to 15-11 this season.
In doing so, two players — senior A.J. Baskerville and sophomore Jacari Brim, Marlon Brim’s son — were named all-conference.
Jeanna Baskerville, A.J.’s sister, was the only girls basketball player to make the all-conference team.
The West Forsyth wrestling team had a very successful season with Coach Jason Hooker and it was rewarded with 10 wrestlers for all-conference — Donavan Allen, Amet Faal, Ethan Livengood, Ziggy Malave, Anthony Zahn, Marcos Sanchez, Jermaine Jones, Devon Eaves, Kaleb Barney, and Parker Broadus.
Godbey, Ryder Strickland, Lawson Hire, Elliot Gould, Reid Nail, and Luke Miller.
