Bring your own bag or the Friends will provide one and take home a full bag of books for only $5. Donations welcome.

• Nature Notebooks

Recommended for ages 5-11
Pick up your nature notebook at the Lewisville Branch Library starting on March 18 (while supplies last). Participants will find plants that are native to N.C. in the wild and draw them. When they have drawn a plant in each category required, participants will bring their notebooks to the Lewisville Branch Library for a prize. Participants will have until May 31 to complete their notebooks. Each nature notebook comes with a packet of wildflower seeds. Presented by Stormwater Smart of The Piedmont Triad Regional Council. Gardening Series: Right Plant, Right Place

How many times have you purchased a plant and put it into your garden only to have it fail to thrive? This class will take some of the guesswork out of selecting plants that will grow best in your garden. You will learn how to select plants based on their purpose, characteristics (size/color) and planting details (sun/shade). Betty Ann Faulkner, a long-time gardener and the owner of SereneScapes Gardens, will be the instructor. Registration is encouraged.
