Clemmons puts its pedal to the metal

Morgan Elementary School and Village Point Greenway were the places to be last Saturday for the return of the Pedal and Metal Fest, the first time the event has been held since 2018.
Great weather and family-friendly activities greeted hundreds of event-goers, who enjoyed a leisurely ride around the Village Point Greenway, got properly fitted for a helmet, and were even recipients of free helmets courtesy of Clemmons Bicycle.
Participants also got to “Touch a Truck,” complete with firetrucks, an ambulance, other emergency service vehicles and heavy machinery.
Several food trucks were also on hand, as were local vendors and other activities such as the Triad Express, face-painting, bubble-blowing, balloon animals, a Hot Wheels racetrack and a smoothie blender on the back of a bike.
