Brianna Montanez is the Clemmons Rotary Student of the Month for April

Brianna Montanez was recognized on April 19 as the Rotary Club of Clemmons’ Student of the Month for April.
Comments from West Forsyth High School in nominating her: “Brianna is a great asset to our school community and is an integral part of our HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Club.”
Montanez is an honor-roll student with a GPA of 4.14.
She is a member and president of the Health Occupations Students of America Club (HOSA) at the Career Center. HOSA is a global student-led organization, whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. In addition, she also ran cross country as a freshman.
Community service and giving back is important to Montanez and she has volunteered through the HOSA Club during blood drives and fair cleanup. She also volunteers at Divine Redeemer Food Pantry where she helps organize, check dates on food products and cleans; Kicking for Miracles, helping raise money for Brenner Children’s Hospital with Tae Kwon Do; Lifeline for Wellness, where she helps translate and run the event for people to receive free healthcare and Evan Outfitters & Baby Blessings where she organized and folded clothing for people in need.
Montanez has been heavily in Tae Kwon Do since she was 7 and has achieved a third degree black belt. She has been an instructor for four years at Tiger Kim’s Tae Kwon Do, where she teaches Tae Kwon Do curriculum, answers phones, does paperwork and teaches self-defense. She has been on the demonstration team for seven years where she competes in tournaments.
Montanez will be attending Appalachian State University where she plans to major in nursing.
The Rotary Club of Clemmons congratulates Montanez for her accomplishments and contributions to her school and community.
