BERMUDA RUN — Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center received an A in the spring 2023 Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a health care safety and quality watchdog organization. This national distinction highlights Davie Medical Center’s achievements in prioritizing patient safety by protecting patients from preventable harm and errors. The new grades reflect performance primarily during the height of the pandemic.

“This achievement represents the hard work and dedication from our entire team and is something of which we are all very proud,” said Chad Brown, president of Davie Medical Center. “We are focused on consistently providing safe, convenient and high-quality care and treating our patients the same way we would want our own families to be treated.”

The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, assigns grades to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

Grades are updated twice each year, in the fall and spring.
