Seven West Forsyth athletes set to sign NLI 

Seven West Forsyth athletes are scheduled to sign their National Letters of Intent with their respective colleges.
The signing is set for 8:15 on Tuesday morning, May 23, in the school auditorium.
There are four boys athletes who will be signing. They are Erick Avila, who will sign to play soccer at Guilford College; Elijah Barnette, who will sign to compete in track-and-field at UNC Pembroke; Jaidan Hubbard, who will sign to compete in track-and-field at High Point; and Connor Herold, who will sign to track-and-field and USC-Upstate.
The three girls who will be signing NLI are Rosa Noyla Gonzalaez, who will play women’s soccer at Lenoir-Rhyne; Isabella McQueen, who will play soccer at Salem College; and Alexxis Gallagher, who will be a cheerleader at Appalachian State.

Two Titans set to play in girls East-West All-Star soccer game

Raegan Williams and Katie Schaffer, both of whom play on the West Forsyth girls soccer team, have been selected to play in this summer’s girls East-West All-Star soccer game.

The game is scheduled for 6:30 on July 18 at Macpherson Stadium in Browns Summit. The boys game is scheduled

Williams is a 5-foot-6 midfielder for Coach Scott Bilton of West Forsyth, and Schaffer, is 5-7 and plays defense.

Only two other players, who play for schools in Forsyth County, both of whom play at Bishop McGuinness — Justine Grimsley, who plays defense, and Anna Krawcyzk — scheduled to compete in the game.

Tim Buck from Rockingham County is scheduled to be the girls head coach for the West.

There are no West Forsyth players scheduled to play in the boys All-Star Game, but Axel Bernal from North Forsyth is scheduled to compete. I addition, Axel Garcia from Forbush and Luis Lopez from East Davidson are scheduled to compete. John Blake, who is the head coach at Ledford, is scheduled to be the boys head coach for the West.

Lewis selected to play for Forsyth/Davidson Senior All-Star team

Harrison Lewis, a senior pitcher at West Forsyth, has been chosen to play for the Forsyth/Davidson All-Star team as they are scheduled to compete Thursday in the Triad Prep All-Star Classic baseball game, which is for seniors.

Forsyth/Davidson is scheduled to compete against Guilford/Randolph at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Finch Field in Thomasville.

Lewis has signed to pitch at North Carolina.
