Central Piedmont 4-A announce all-conference teams

The Central Piedmont 4-A announced its all-conference teams across nine sports this spring and, as usual, West Forsyth is well represented.
Tyson Adams, who won the NCHSAA Class 4-A state long-jump championship this past Saturday for the Titans, was named all-conference in boys track-and-field in three events — long jump, 100-meter dash, and 200-meter dash. Also, in boys track-and field, Jaiden Hubbard received all-conference honors in the triple jump and 400-meter dash.
In addition, three West Forsyth coaches — Brad Bullard from baseball, Scott Bilton from girls soccer, and Sara Cranford from boys tennis — were named Central Piedmont 4-A coaches of the year.
Boys and girls track-and-field at West Forsyth, led by Coach Nathan Newsome, had many athletes make all-conference.

In boys track-and-field from West Forsyth, in addition to Adams receiving all-conference honors in the long jump, 100, 200, Hubbard was all-conference in triple jump and the 400. In the 3,200-meter relay, Connor Herold, Colby Groce, Owen Newsome, and Wesley Haggstrom — made it from West Forsyth.
Jonathan Koger from Reagan was named Field Event Athlete of the Year, Andrew Burrell from Mount Tabor was named Track Distance Runner of the Year, Antwan Hughes Jr. Parkland was named Track-Sprinter Runner of the Year, and Patrick Cromwell from Mount Tabor was named Coach of the Year.
In baseball, the Titans finished 19-9 overall and 10-4 in the conference, winning the conference-tournament championship. Harrison Lewis of West Forsyth was named Player of the Year and Bullard was named Coach of the Year.
Five players from the Titans were named all-conference — Harrison Lewis, Jack Vest, Camdyn Daly, Parker Lowe and Luis Acevedo — made the team.
Levi Strahm of Reagan was named Pitcher of the Year.
In girls soccer, Raegan Williams of West Forsyth, which finished 19-4-1 overall and 13-1 in the Central Piedmont 4-A, was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Bilton was named Coach of the Year.
In addition, four other Titans’ players — Aislyn Maguire, Hannah Hanes, Abby Reutinger, Rosa Gonzalez, and Kate Schaffer — were named all-conference.
Kylee Berry from East Forsyth was named Defensive Player of the Year.
In softball, West Forsyth, which finished 20-4 overall and 13-1 in the conference, was also well represented. Sydney Horton was named Player of the Year and Cate Etchason was named Pitcher of the Year.
In addition, three other Titans — Kaylyn Riddle, Abby Hunter and Madisen Barringer — made all-conference.
Karlee Honeycutt from East Forsyth was named Coach of the Year.
The West Forsyth girls lacrosse team finished 19-3 overall and 10-2 in the Central Piedmont 4-A. Two West Forsyth players were named players of the year — Alivia Gurley was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Morgan McDaniel was named Defensive Player of the Year.
Also, four other Titans’ players — Bailey Fox, Leah Meyers, Aayalyn Russell, and Kendall Gurley — were named all-conference.
Steve Keaton from Reagan was named Coach of the Year.
Boys tennis at West Forsyth dominated the Central Piedmont 4-A throughout the regular season, finishing 15-3 overall and 14-0 in the conference.
In addition to Cranford being named Coach of the Year, five Titans’ players — Xavier Lopez, John Howell, Sean Cooper, Gavin Lamb, and Jeffrey Lyons — were named all-conference.
Adam Cartwright from Mount Tabor was named the Player of the Year.
In girls track-and-field, also coached by Nathan Newsome, Madelin Betson from West Forsyth picked up all-conference honors in the high jump, Krisa Coleman-Simon was named all-conference in the long jump, as well as Haley Hanes, who finished third this past Saturday at the NCHSAA Class 4-A girls outdoor track-and-field championship in the pole vault.
In the 3,200-meter relay from the Titans — Dempsey Baldini, LuLu Serang, Tenley Douglass, and Sophie Cowart — made all-conference.
Londyn Green-Dubose from Parkland was named girls Field Event Athlete of the Year, Bronwyn Parks from Mount Tabor was named girls Track-Distance Runner of the Year, Ai’Yana Gray-Williams from Parkland was named girls Track-Sprinter of the Year, and Christopher Page from Mount Tabor was named Coach of the Year.
West Forsyth, boys lacrosse, coached by Jacob Able, and finished with an overall record of 9-8 and 7-7 in the Central Piedmont 4-A, had two players make all-conference.
Twin brothers Brody and Ryan Macdonald made all-conference from the Titans.
In boys golf, Hershal Patel from West Forsyth made all-conference.
Owen Pearce from Reynolds was named Player of the Year, and Stewart Hobbs from Reynolds was named Coach of the Year.
