LEWISVILLE — The Williams Road Gateway Project is one that has been planned by the Town since 2017.  The project consists of transforming the area along Williams Road between U.S. Hwy. 421 and the Williams Road/Shallowford Road roundabout. The improvements include a sidewalk, bike lane, planted median, wider lanes and “Welcome to Lewisville” signs.

The Gateway construction is estimated to cost approximately $3.2 million. The town was able to secure funding through the Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WSUAMPO) to offset the costs of the project.

Construction began in April of 2023 and is estimated to be completed within 300 days.
