Pamela Ann Alspaugh

April 21, 1951 to May 30, 2023

Pamela was also known as “Prissy” to her family and “Pammie” to her closest friends. She grew up in Forsyth County where she attended high school at West Forsyth. She retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she worked caring for the primates at the research center. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, George Miller Alspaugh and Marjorie Cox Alspaugh. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Timothy “Gov” Williams.

Pamela’s life took her on countless adventures. In her younger years, she was an avid horseback rider spending weekends in Love Valley. Pamela had a love for hybrid tea roses and she spent hours meticulously taking care of more than 20 varieties. She was an animal lover and had many furry companions, the last one being her special dog, Katie, who never left her side.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Diana Alspaugh Etchison (Steve), brother, Jake Alspaugh (Dottie), nieces and nephews, Jodi Fisher (Jerry), Josh Etchison, Jill Goldbach (Jason), Ryan Alspaugh (Alexandra), and two great-nephews, Judd Goldbach and Jace Goldbach.

Her two best friends, Rita Sweat and Sandy Hayes Beaver (Mark), made her last days comfortable and brought peacefulness. A person could not have better friends or more wonderful caregivers.

The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice in Yadkinville for their kind service, and a special thank you to Yolanda Reed, CNA.

There will be no formal service. In remembrance of Pamela, please consider a donation to Mountain Valley Hospice, https://www.mtnvalleyhospice.org/donate/, and Forsyth Humane Society https://forsythhumane.org/donate-now/.
