CLEMMONS — When the Village of Clemmons Stormwater Department hosted its annual Spring cleanup event, folks from all walks answered the call.

The event was held last month and is geared toward public participation throughout the community to help beautify Clemmons.

According to a spokesperson with the village, the weather that day was “beautiful” and brought 90 volunteers to join in the cleanup efforts.

The event was a success, resulting in 59 bags of trash and recyclables picked up along 14.2 miles of roadway throughout Clemmons.

Every volunteer received a 2023 Spring Cleanup Shirt that was created by fifth-grader Miller Obyrne from Clemmons Elementary.

Members of the Village of Clemmons Stormwater Department extended a thank you to everyone who was able to participate in the community event that helps keep the roads and waterways clean.

Sponsorships from Be Kind Coffee Co., Biscuitville, Clemmons Family Dental, Clemmons Trace Village, Gradeworks LLC, Krispy Kreme Donuts, McCall Insurance Services, New Horizons Preschool Inc., Novant Health Twin City Pediatrics and Waste Management made the event possible.
