CLEMMONS — Dozens of area pro-lifers gathered on the sidewalk from the old Clemmons library to the Clemmons post office on June 25 to express their support for the unborn.
The event marked the one-year anniversary of the Dobbs vs. Jackson Supreme Court decision. That decision reversed the 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling that had legalized abortion in the U.S. State legislatures can now develop their own laws regarding abortion.
North Carolina legislatures recently enacted a 12-week ban that includes various exceptions.
The Clemmons Life Chain was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Columbiettes of Holy Family Catholic Church.
