Vacation Bible School

Harmony Grove United Methodist Church will be having Vacation Bible School on Saturday for kids in grades K-5. The theme for the event is “Abundance Orchard” and will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be crafts, music and games along with snacks and lunch. Revival

New Hope AME Zion Church at 7000 Shallowford Road in Lewisville will celebrate its annual church revival starting on Sunday with Rev. Dairl L. Scott, Sr. , the pastor of New Hope will be the 11:00 a.m. speaker.

Rev. David A. Williams will be the afternoon speaker at 3 p..m. of Greater Gethsemane AME Zion Church in Charlotte.

On Monday at 7 p.m., Rev. W. Jerrel Leeper of John Wesley AME Zion Church of Winston-Salem will be the speaker.

On Tuesday, at 7 p.m., Rev. Stephen A. Tyndale of Freedom Baptist Church in Winston-Salem will be the speaker.

On Wednesday, at 7 p.m., Rev. Dr. Calvin L. Miller, the Presiding Elder of the Winston-Salem District will be the speaker.

Southwest High School reunion

The Class of 1963 is holding its 60th reunion at Village Inn Hotel and Conference Center on Aug. 26 from 5-9 p.m.
