Events
The Dirty Dozen 5K and Fun Run Obstacle Mud Run and Clemmons Oktoberfest: The event will take place on Sept. 16. It is a family-friendly event including a fun run and free party. Register to participate in the run. There will be a DJ, food trucks, beer pit, farmers market, games and more from 8 a.m.-noon. Go to clemmons.org/Oktoberfest for more information.
Fall Medicine Drop: The event will be held Oct. 14 from 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Clemmons Public Works, located at 3800 Dillon Industrial Drive. It will be a drive-thru service to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications — no questions asked — during Operation Medicine Drop.
Monster Dash and Goblin Hop: The Village of Clemmons is inviting businesses or organizations to be a part of the 2023 event, scheduled for Oct. 22 (Rain date: Oct. 29). Host a table around the greenway while kids dressed in Halloween Costumes walk the greenway to trick or treat and complete the Goblin Hop. Bulk Item Pickup
- The 2023 Fall Bulk item pickup will begin on Sept. 18, for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. Bulk item pickup for residents on the east side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road will begin the week of Sept. 25.

Clemmons Farmers Market
The Clemmons Farmers Market is open seasonally on Saturdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA, which is located at 1150 S. Peace Haven Road, in Clemmons. The Jerry Long Family YMCA is a tobacco-, dog- and alcohol-free campus. No pets, please.
Meetings
The regularly-scheduled council meeting will be held on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. in council chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road.
The regularly-scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Sept. 19 in Council Chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road.
Early Voting
One-stop early voting is available for those who are registered in Forsyth County to vote at the Board of Elections office (201 N. Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem) with the following schedule:
Oct. 19-20 : 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Oct. 23-27: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Oct. 30-Nov. 3: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Nov. 4: 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Public works
Limb collection: Limbs should be placed on the edge of your yard by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the following schedule between March and November.
West of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Tanglewood side) — first full week of the month
East of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Winston-Salem side) — second full week of the month
To assist with additional waste, recycling and cardboard, Clemmons’ residents are invited to bring their excess to the Public Works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).
When available, mulch can be loaded at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday — please note mulch is only loaded at these times and not throughout the day. Mulch is not available on rainy days. All trucks and trailers must have side walls and be covered (example: with a tarp) before leaving the yard. For mulch availability, call Public Works at 336-766-9170. These services are limited to Village of Clemmons residents, and you may be asked to show ID.
