Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) has announced her plans to seek reelection in 2024 in North Carolina’s recently redrawn 5th Congressional District, which will cover most of northwest North Carolina.

“The North Carolina General Assembly has done its Constitutionally-mandated duty,” Foxx said. “North Carolina’s elected legislators worked hard to draw new congressional district maps that kept most of the current 5th Congressional District intact, which I was pleased to see. These maps are reasonable and the people of North Carolina deserve certainty about the borders of their congressional districts. The courts should refrain from meddling in the constitutionally sound political processes of our state. I am thrilled to be running for reelection and hope to once again serve the wonderful communities of northwest North Carolina in Congress.”
