Salem Band announces 2023 Holiday Concerts, Down-Home Christmas: Free concerts in Clemmons, Winston-Salem

The Salem Band recently announced dates for its annual holiday concert, “Down-Home Christmas.”

A performance will be held at Clemmons First Baptist Church on Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Musical selections for reminiscing include “American Christmas Folk Suite,” “When St. Nick Comes Marching In,” “Home for the Holidays,” “Laughing All the Way,” and appropriate for Salem Band, Christmas on the Town Square. Hear your favorite traditional songs and carols: “Ode to Greensleeves,” “Silent Night,” “The Holly & the Ivy,” Amy Grant’s “Breath of Heaven,” and more.

The soloist this year is Salem Band’s own principal trumpeter Ken Kline, performing “A Trumpeter’s Lullaby” with the band.

Another concert will be held New Philadelphia Moravian Church on Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Donations are accepted for the band’s charity partner, Sunnyside Ministry.

All concerts are free and open to the public.
