CLEMMONS — The village of Clemmons, in coordination with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, is inviting the public to attend a meeting for two proposed projects joined together to form the Harper Road and South Peace Haven Rd Sidewalk Project (EB-5960 and EB-6040, respectively), connecting Clemmons Medical Center, Morgan Elementary School and the Jerry Long Family YMCA to existing sidewalk infrastructure.
The public meeting will be an open house that the public can attend anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Jerry Long Family YMCA.
EB-6040 is proposed to start at the Trinity Elms Assisted Living Facility, then head north along Harper Road to the intersection of Village Point Drive. The project will continue north along Harper Road until Morgan Elementary School, where it will tie into existing sidewalk.
EB-5960 is proposed to start at the intersection of Village Point Lake Drive and Harper Road and head north along Harper Road to the intersection of Harper Road and South Peace Haven Road. The sidewalk continues east along South Peace Haven Road to the driveway of the Jerry Long Family YMCA, where it will tie into the existing sidewalk.
Members of the project team will be available at the meeting to provide information, answer questions, and gather feedback on the proposed projects. Preliminary designs will be available for viewing and comment at the meeting.
The Jerry Long YMCA is located at 1150 S Peace Haven Road, Clemmons.
