Detention Officers with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office delivered gifts to the homes of children throughout the county on Monday.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 8, presented the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office with a monetary donation which was partially used to purchase the gifts. Last week, detention staff personally shopped for an array of toys, which each child had  on a wish list, at the Walmart store on Parkway Village Court. 

The gifts will be wrapped and delivered to 17 children who have a mother residing in the Forsyth County Detention Center.  

Santa Claus and Forsyth County school resource officers assisted with the gift delivery.
